Henry Jenkins

From reading Henry Jenkins's blog post about transmedia i have come across a few interesting things like the most important parts of the message are spread through different delivery channels. However, each part that is spread too add something new to the message. for example this is like the The Simpsons as they have a tv series, then a movie, comics and games which all add something to the original story.

Also most things like this work through "synergy" which Jenkins explains works through different types of media working together to boost the overall story.

I really like the way Jenkins talks about storytelling 'expanding the market' meaning that through different media the story may attract different audiences.

Which then he later goes on to take about gaps within the story, which then leads people to fill them themselves though things such as fan fiction which is unauthorised.

Overall, I really enjoyed Jenkins look on storytelling through transmedia as it shines a light onto the different ways in which a story can be told.
